Arc’teryx — Translating Flow State
Translating Flow State is a conceptual photo and film series developed for Arc’teryx by Patrick Pilz. Based on the brand’s annual theme of Flow State, Patrick shaped the project from the first idea to the final campaign rollout. The series explores what lies beyond performance: the moment when movement, focus and creativity become a deeply human experience. Bringing together outdoor athletes and artists from different disciplines, each chapter translates an internal state into another creative form. From trail running and sound to climbing and ceramics, hiking and poetry. Alongside the digital campaign, print products such as postcards and posters were created to bring the project into Arc’teryx stores. The artists’ works are also planned to become part of community projects and in-store exhibitions, extending the series beyond the screen and into physical spaces. Through dialogue, movement and making, Translating Flow State turns an invisible feeling into something shared.
